Warehouse Shipper / Receiver

Cowan Dynamics is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electro-Hydraulic Actuators and process control systems. We have an international and diversified client base supported by our sales groups based in Montreal and Edmonton.

In this position, you will be mandated to perform tasks related to the shipping department.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

• Perform receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine: a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
• Preparing, packaging, crating, and shipping international orders (heavy lifting is required)
• Load/unload trucks using the overhead crane, forklift & hand pallet truck (jigger)
• Documenting all shipping transactions to maintain traceability and complete paperwork per work instructions as required
• Daily online tracking of all Shipping activities performed with various freight companies (waybills)
• Data entry into various applications Excel, Trello, ERP system

• Organize and maximize warehouse shipping space and maintain a clean working area
• Perform other related duties

Experience & skills:  

• Have minimum 2 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Have experience in international shipping (C.E.R.S)
• Possess forklift certification (An asset)
• Possess overhead crane certification (An asset)

• Basic computer knowledge
• Excellent teamwork skills, good communication, and positive spirit
• Ability to learn quickly
• Be punctual and diligent at work
• Responsible, attention to detail and quality.
• French and English – functional level required

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift (8:00-11:30, 12:00 – 16:30)
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will work from Cowan’s Montreal office.

Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a permanent and full-time position.
